On February 11, 1957, Professor T. Henry Murphy and 16 students established Theta Beta Chi Fraternity on the C. W. Post College campus. Three years later Theta Beta Chi became the Pi-Tetarton Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. As a local fraternity, it estab- lished the tradition of the red blazer as the ofiicial fra- ternity attire. Another tradition which it set was the annual ttSpring Dance.n . The fraternity stresses brotherhood, scholarshlp and character, and tries to guide itself by, and live uPtO! these three principles. A scholarship plaque is presented by the chapter every year to the fraternity on camPul: that has attained the highest cumulative average. E39 year Phi Sigma Kappa competes with ot the national as well as other fraternities on camPu various sports.
