Lacrosse High hopes were in store for the 1962 Lacrosse team under the coaching of A1 Brisotti Sr. In its third year of varsity competition the Post stickmen were looking forward to better last yearis mediocre 4-8 record. Leading the team on attack were veterans Bob Culver t attacki, last yearis leading scorer with 22 points, Al Brisotti III tattacki and Kevin Dwyer tmid- fieldi. Additional needed help came from transfers Tom Bibens and Bob Boboay and newcomers Brian Smith and Paul Wolfrom. This year,s squad boasted both versatility and depth. Among the most formidable opponents which the team met were such teams as: Ohio State, whom the Pioneers defeated last year 9-5, Villanova, Brown, Middlebury, Wesleyan, Adelphi and Hofstra. Offensively and defensively the squad was hurt by the loss, via graduation, of Bob Marshall, Fred Keck, Frank Rossi and Mark Fingeret. Coach Brisotti hoped that the newcomers would be able to replace these men.
