The Senior Class of C. M. Eppes High School Greenville, North Carolina Presents . . . The Eppesonion 1966 1 Foreword Compiling this book of memories was one of the most ex- citing ventures of our high school career. From the staff ' s point of vantage, we were able to get a panoramic view of our school — our superintendent and his staff, our principal and teachers, and our students in their various situations and activities. Seeing our student leaders emerge from the general stu- dent populace has been most gratifying. Consequently, we decided that leadership would be an appropriate theme for the 1966 EPPESONION. As you glance through this book, the editor and staff hope that the many pictures on these pages will inspire those we leave behind to assume greater roles of leader- ship in our school. In like manner, we hope that those of us who depart will be encouraged to achieve higher goals of leadership in our communities. The Staff 2 Because of her untiring efforts to serve each department of our school graciously, kindly, and cheerfully, because she has spent many extra hours endeavoring to perfect work that has been requested of her, and because of her dignity and charm, the class of 1966 is happy to dedicate this edition of the EPPESONION to Miss Ruth M. Staton. Mr. W. H. Davenport, Retired Principal in grateful appreciation of thirty-seven years of exemplary leadership, we respectfully set aside this page. 4 Mr. J. H.
