To the incoming Senior Class we will the numer- ous good qualities for which our Senior Class has been noted, with the sincere hope that emulating our example they may learn to conduct themselves with that sobriety and dignity characteristic of all of us. John Mitchell wills his boistrousness to Red VVeatherford and hopes he wOn't cause as much disturbance as John has. - Ned Slate leaves his worn out baseball bat to the Trash Can. Thomas Traynham leaves his testatorship to the' poor '.un- fortunate upon whom it is wished next year.

CHIT-CHAT 189 SENIOR YEAR A September 10th.-The long looked for time has arrived. We are Seniors at last. I wonder if we feel very different, We look about the same. New members have added dignity as well as numbers to our class. A February 25th.-Senior Minstrel-Beautiful girls, snappy songs and plenty of good jokes combined to make this a suc- cess. The co-operation of student body, faculty, and towns- people put it across. e March 12th-Minstrel went on the road. Huge audience at .I along, N. C. March 25th.-Hubert's Mystery Show at the Princess Theatre helps us increase our funds. April Sth.-Pretty Baby Contest begins. Babies, babies, babies, we think of them by day and dream of them by night. Twenty-three entries already, all perfectly precious tiny tots. April 11th.-Just gathering in money. Babies make their first appearance at theatre. April 14th.-What excitement there was to-night at Faulk- ner Sz Lawson' s Drug Store. The votes kept mounting up and up until ten o'clock. The winners were I. Dick Walden III. Bunny Settle II. Gus Lacy IV. Sonny Hodges Most exciting of all was adding up the proceeds. We cleared three hundred and twenty whole dollars. Visions of Washington dance in our heads. Post Dated Baccalaureate Sermon, May 29th. Junior-Senior Banquet, June lst. Commencement, June 2nd, Washington Trip, J une 6th-10th. Dreams really come true. L William Puryear bequeaths his intense hatred of studying to Tucker VVatkins who we fear is endangering his health by his long poring over books. Lessie Wilborn leaves her tongue to J. J. Lawson. Louise Anderson wills her seat in a 'gccrtainv car to who- ever applies. Janey Anderson bestows upon any girl who wishes them all of her letters that have a habit of coming to the school build- ing. V Mabel Blaekstock leaves her typical Southern drawl to Margaret Lasley, who insists upon talking so fast that she is absolutely unintelligible. 1 Virginia Crews leaves her fun of being sponsor to? Nathalie Farmer bequeaths her love for her friend Cicero to James Garrard. L Beryl Gordon bequeaths her extensive vocabulary to Byron Hubbard. Ruth Hale leaves her gray hairs, wrinkles and other signs of premature old age, caused by editing CHIT-CHAT to Vir- ginia Clarke, the assistant editor. Carolyn Hodges wills her seat in Detention Hall to William Waller with the hope that tardiness will not make his at- tendance in that august assemblage as regular as hers has been. I Margaret Moon bequeaths her grim and frowning facelto Arch. Johnston whose face is always wreathed in smiles.
