List pi School opened to-day and We are about the tfqllhngiw Q29 1 freshest Freshman class that ever was. Xovember Sth.-Enter new building. We don, t feel so green, because everyone else has to get used to the many changes too. February lst.--Well Diary, you have been sadly neglected for the past several weeks. Those horrible exams are over at last, many of us having fallen by the wayside. April 15th.-VVe try our luck O11 the stage and present HA 'Mid Summer Nighfs Dream in Literary Society. Our real genius at last is appreciated. Soruoixionn YEAR October 29th.-Class has a TI3ll0WC7611 Party at Margaret Stebbin's-Ghosts, groans, and piercing screams. More fun. December 12th.-Hurrah for Caroline! She makes the Basket-ball Team. Atta Girl! JUNIOR YEAR November 25th.-Excited? Well l should say we were when our rings came to-day. January 10th.-Beryl Gordon elected Captain of the Bas- ket-ball Team. Girls you surely showed good sense. April 5th.-'Detention Hall started. Mad rush to reserve front seats. May 31st.-Junior-Senior Banquet. Songs, dances, roses, toasts, and food mixed together with plenty of fun. Need more be said.

It is no wonder that he has succeeded in the positions which have been entrusted to him. l'e1-haps some- times he is a little quiet. but it is in those moments that he is do- ing some real worthwhile think- ing. We are sorry that Robert's course does not allow hin1 to graduate.

CHIT-CHAT 189 SENIOR YEAR A September 10th.-The long looked for time has arrived. We are Seniors at last. I wonder if we feel very different, We look about the same. New members have added dignity as well as numbers to our class. A February 25th.-Senior Minstrel-Beautiful girls, snappy songs and plenty of good jokes combined to make this a suc- cess. The co-operation of student body, faculty, and towns- people put it across. e March 12th-Minstrel went on the road. Huge audience at .I along, N. C. March 25th.-Hubert's Mystery Show at the Princess Theatre helps us increase our funds. April Sth.-Pretty Baby Contest begins. Babies, babies, babies, we think of them by day and dream of them by night. Twenty-three entries already, all perfectly precious tiny tots. April 11th.-Just gathering in money. Babies make their first appearance at theatre. April 14th.-What excitement there was to-night at Faulk- ner Sz Lawson' s Drug Store. The votes kept mounting up and up until ten o'clock. The winners were I. Dick Walden III. Bunny Settle II. Gus Lacy IV. Sonny Hodges Most exciting of all was adding up the proceeds. We cleared three hundred and twenty whole dollars. Visions of Washington dance in our heads. Post Dated Baccalaureate Sermon, May 29th. Junior-Senior Banquet, June lst. Commencement, June 2nd, Washington Trip, J une 6th-10th. Dreams really come true. May our visions of the future have as wondrous a fulfilment. , ELLA YVEBB, Historian.
