Dedicated Achiever flvllh 'Qs taunt!! When a teacher's main goal is to instill in each student winning attitudes which will inable them to achieve and continue to achieve, they're more than just a teacher, they're someone who cares. Coach james Roller cares. .C K T vac, 1 N, . Growing up in Midland, Texas he attented Midland Lee High School. Being an active student Coach Roller played trombone in the band, participated in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. His Senior year he was voted Most Talented Senior, All-State defensive tackle, and was elected to the All-American Football Team. He recieved a full scholarship to the University of Texas. He studied for 3 years at the University of Texas and then graduated at North Texas State University. Coach Roller has been at Brewer High School for 9 years. His first year at Brewer he recieved the Yellow Rose Award-teacher of the year. He teaches English and is assistant coach for varsity football. Outside of school, Coach Roller likes dancing, fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his wife Melba. He also likes to go to the movies. His favorite Terms of Endearment ,because it makes him cry. Thanks Coach Roller for all your hard work, we love you for it. Because of everything you have done for Brewer High School, the 1987-88 Bear Tracks Staff would like to dedicate this yearbook to you. . 3 QI 17
