Student Coun il Serves School and Community The Student Council is a group of elected representatives from each grade whose main purpose is to work with the sponsors, Mrs. Brown and Miss Ponder, to bring about closer cooperation between faculty and students, create and maintain school interest, spirit and loyalty, and to provide a forum for student expression. The Student Council carries out these objectives by having many service projects, such as the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive and the Toy Drive at Christmas. The Student Council is always busy with projects designed to promote school spirit. Last year they painted signs for the pep rallies, 'Spirit chain contests between classes and held the first Trash Can decorating contest to l'Can the Roos. The National Honor Society is made up above, no F grades, and, must be voted of an elite group of students. Members of into membership by the faculty and the club are required to have an over-all administration. The National Honor Society average of 85, Sophomore standing or isalwaysbusybeingSecretPalstothefaculty and Varsity Football players. This year N.H.S. is also having its first Christmas party for Senior Citizens. N.H.S. members donate their time to the community and to Brewer High School. They help the children and the less fortunate in the community. N.H.S. also strives to build spirit and pride in the student body.
