ight Life As the 3:30 bell signals the end of the school day, students are already taking steps in planning the night ahead. Ideas about where to go, what to do, who to go with, and how to get there are given careful consideration. One place which is frequently visited by the youth of our community is the local drive-in. So, even though the sun is going down, the student's night life isjust beginning . . . Pl0kPl0kPl0kPl0l0kPk?kPl0Is2kPIHl0l0l2Pl0l4 The following is a guide to the activities which usually take place at the drive-in movie. I.HA VE THE MOVIE CHOSEN WELL IN ADVANCE. THIS WILL SAVE BOTH YOU AND THE TICKET TAKER TIME AND TROUBLE. '6Which movie are we going to see? East or West? I don't know. Which one do you want to see? CGHIUIHA 77 Look at all those cars lining up behind us. I think you'd better hurry up as n Let's go East. No, West. Where are we going to park? Over theref, Where? Over there! Oh, over there! 4'Forget it, there' a car there already. Well, let's make up our minds. . . '6Why are all the cars honking, and why is there such a glare on the picture? Activities Reflect Quality of Life at BH . Throughout the year,varous activ- ities are planned to help relieve the student of some of the monotony of school life. These activities may come in the form of assemblies fsuch as science shows, magic shows, etc.J, or dances fslowfdiscofcountry Sz westernj, or special events, fsuch as ice cream suppers, chili suppers, etc.J. While some students View these activities as a way of escaping both boredom and classes, other students may regard them as a means of learning, be it use- ful or not. Many things may happen during an activity. The following is a sample of the way some students handle these ever present activities . . . Plfvlvlfvlfflvlvlwlvlfilvlvkvlfflvlvlvlfvkilfvlf This section will be about what happens at an assembly. Assemblies occur many times during the school year, and many students come to look forward to them. One of the most important things to remember while attending one is this: Remain orderly and calm while on your way to the auditorium for wherever the assembly 12 - Anybody ' Activities is being heldl. This will greatly reduce the amount of time it takes getting in and out. Ooops! There goes the bell. Hurry up, will you? We've got to get out there before everyone else doesf, fThere is only one flaw in this otherwise flawless plan, unfortunately for you, four hun- dred students have also had the same ideaj Do you know what we're sup- posed to see? I don't care as long as it gets me out of second period. Me too! Hey, watch out . . . here comes everybody! H Ouch! Someone just stepped on my foot! Let go of my elbow! Oooh, pain, agony!! fAnd other sound effectsj What's the matter now? Someone just shoved me into the stairs. Now I'll have a bruise on my leg. Just what are we going to see anyway? It had better be worth it! Enter here a third, very serious student: Oh, it will be worth it, all right. Don't you realize what we are going to see? This science demonstration will probably prove very useful in your futuref' '4How,s that? Well, the show will give you exam- ples of our natural and rapidly dimin- ishing resources and their uses in today's society. It will demonstrate their function as power sources and will give us examples of what we can expect to be using as power sources in the future, such as solar and geothermal energy. Whisper-'iWhat did he say in English? I think he said welre having a science show about natural resources. 'fOh. Why didn't he just say that? I donit know . . . you know how brains are . . . sshh, here he comes again. NOW do you understand what this show will be about?,' Uh, sure!
