B. H. S. Silver nniversary Now that Brewer High School is in its 25th year, we as an annual staff have decided to take you back through the years and touch on some of the things that have contributed to the character and pride of Brewer. ln 1952, when the doors first opened to students, many new plans and hopes were launched. Continuously through athletics, curriculum, and activities, Brewer has striven for the highest. Even though the first Senior graduating class numbered only twelve, compared to over one hundred and fifty today, all have contributed in some way to bettering Brewer and paving easier paths for the next classes. ln 1955, when the school was only three complete years old, another bond program was passed which, because of increased enrollment, provided for extra class rooms and the erection of Bear Stadium. As the school and enrollment continued to grow and expand, America itself was growing in size and power. When the fifties ended, many new technological and cultural feats were established-television, space travel and Rock and Roll. But now all these things are familiar for Brewer students on its Silver Anniversary . . . Vera Deleon 2 - 0 pen ing C'mon julie!
