'We Don't Want A Revolution . . . We lust Want C A C-E. My third point of evidence is now occuring in your faculty and student body, Brewer High School. Your people want CHANCE. They will no longer conform to what N formerly has been accepted, but are constantly searching for ways to CHANGE things, make things different. Years ago, your students never questioned administrative decisions, but now they request the reasoning behind the decisions. The students of Brewer High School, through their sf speech, habits, and even style of dress, themselves are live examples of CHANG E. They now freely express their opinions on national politics, controversial topics, and morality. Your students illustrate the New Generation which has been maturing in America for years. This CHANGE is unnecessary! The trouble with the world today is that people are constantly trying to CHANGE things. The young people, just like your students, Brewer High School, are the main liberals. If they would only realize that some things aren't meant to be CHANGED, we wouldn't have this constant, rebellious demand for CHANCE. Consequently, a more peaceful atmosphere would exist without CHANG E. With the conclusion of this transcript evidence, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, l now present the highlight of my evidence. With the permission of the court, I can offer living proof of my evidence the students of Brewer High School, today. For a period of one year, the students of Brewer High School, and the activities in which they involve themselves will be on trial. l, as the Prosecution, know no better way of proving my points than to use the actual subjects of controversy. Your Honor, justice awaits your decision. Will Prosecution be allowed to proceed? ludge: ln consideration of the importance and necessity of actual proof in this trial, I will agree to these terms. However, the co-defendants of America, White Settlement, and Brewer High School will have their presentation of defense. Prosecution, you may proceed . . . Opening: Brewer High School 11
