Even though the bond issue had been passed, the lunchroom was not completed- until late in the year, so students were divided randomly into two lunch periods, both A or B. Each lunch period was devoted to lunch, but often, was spent. wading through the crowded lunch area. Once a student got his lunch fno small task in itselfj he was then forced to search for a place to sit and socialize with friends who, invariably, had been placed in another lunch. The past ten years have seen King through socks, teased hair, and many new additions to the school, the peace sign, mini skirts, long sideburns, Watergate, inflation, the energy crisis, and plenty of peanuts. Not to be outdone 1977 would be known as the year of longer dresses, boots, shorter hairstyles, and such as f'Check ya Later , For Real and It's the Pitts', echoing the halls.
