Tish Hearon patiently awaits the beginning whistle. Twirlers Sparkle The 1977-78 Twirlers are: Lisa Matthews, Kim Stutte, Tish Hearon, Connie Depenbrock, Brenda Hawkins, Janet Hoch, Susie House, Connie Cross Collins, and Brenda Christ. The girls who attended U.I.L. contest this year brought back many first and seconds. The Flag carriers for the 1977-78 year are Shereen Esfahanion, Wendy Thomas Hall, Cheryl Hicks, Renee Christ, Darralyn Bailey, Karen Aycock, Becky Martinez, Janice Snow, Jerry Wooley, and Jackie Jenkings. Head Flags were Karen Aycock, and Darralyn Bailey. As Band practice begins each year, the twirlers and flags have a responsibility of showing a good example, this year the two groups have done an excellent job not only on the field but during the year as a whole. C.E. King will never see a more devoted group than they are.
