76 The Senior Class chartered buses for a trip to Austin on April 23, 1971. They left at 6:30 and on the way ate break- fast at K. C. Steak House. They arrived at Barton Springs at 11:00 all soaking wet from the many water fights on the bus. Although the water at Barton Springs was ice cold, nearly all the seniors went in at least once and most spent their time sun bathing. The group ate at Christies before starting home. A tired, sunburned group finally headed for Houston. Senior Day at
