He placed second for the Optimist Award and was a runner-up in the essay contest sponsored by the Loui- siana Bar Association. Angelita Police held the govemment office of Registrar of Voters for a day, a program sponsored by the Optimist Club. Her main recognition, though, lies in R.O.T.C. as she was examined before a review board and elected Brigade Commander.
