r. ana! Wibd Qibwlzer' lgcllarcf jayfor gaualoin Each school year the GUSHER staff has the pleasure of selecting one senior boy and one senior girl who they feel have devoted their time and energies to the City of Byrd. This is the highest honor that the GUSHER staff can award. lt is only awarded to two students who have attended Byrd for at least three years, made contributions to their school and community, have outstanding character values, and high academic standards. The 1982 GUSHER staff proudly presents Mr. and Miss GUSHER, Richard Taylor Baudoin and Lila Katharine Camille Smith. As a jacket for four years, Ricky really showed his spirit through all his activities. He played on the foot- ball team beginning his freshman year, lettered his junior year, and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Being in a service club means ac- tion, and Ricky displayed his action through Key Club his freshman year and Leo Club his sophomore 14 Honors ..,..s..5 lifes Jgaflzerine .gmifiz through senior years. His junior and senior years he was a Z Club M8rM buddy. Also his senior year he worked on the HIGH LIFE staff, and kept a steady job at Brookshire's. Congratulations and thanks to Ricky for adding a spark to Byrd's glowing traditions. Lila came to Byrd her freshman year planning to make her next four years something to remember. And she did just that! Beginning her freshman year, Lila was involved in the pep squad, in her sophomore year she joined the danceline. She became second Iieutenent for the High Steppers her senior year, and at the 1981 danceline camp she won the individual award of outstanding superstar drill team performer. Lila was elected the senior class parliamentarian and homecoming cheerleader. She was also an active member of Leo Club, French Club, and was the as- sistant feature editor for the HIGH LIFE. Thanks, Lila, for your contributions to Byrd and congratulations.
