From that moment on until school closes the students in their classes, at the games, and in their daily lives make the Mcity of Byrdfi The fall season of the year means many things . . . new classes . . . new friends . . . the games . . . the spirit . . . Byrd has a heart . . . the faculty and students keep it beating. For many Freshmen and first-year Sopho- niores these first few weeks are looked at with wide-eved interest. Those davs are accompanied hy mistakes . . . for some . . . an elevator ticket . . . the wrong Class . . . or maybe the wrong teacher. As you look through the next few pages we hope that memories of the 1956-57 year will he recalled. Left: As school begins students come once again reluctantly. This group of students were seen with hundreds on the first day as one of l3yrd's best years began.
