A CAPPELLA CHOIR In any school the number of participants taking part in the vocal program has a great deal to do with the success or failure of that program. If there are only a few to partici- pate, the musically talented have to be mixed with the untalented, those that learn rapidly mixed with those that learn slowly, and those with a great deal of interest mixed with those of lesser interest. This does not make for a good choir nor for a healthy vocal pro- gram and is the reason for our ever expanding vocal program here at Byrd. We wish not only to present a great deal of music to a great many students, but a little music to a great many students. Our program this year has been the largest in the history of Byrd High School and has included an A and B choir, a Girls’ Glee Club, a Boys’ Glee Club, an Ensemble, an Operetta, an Appreciation class, and a Theory Class.
