Preparing copy for the High Life are Frances Digiotanni. Editor; Carolyn McCormick, Columnist; Glynn Ellen Pennington, Personality Editor; Jane Lemay, Cluh Editor; Aliss Claris Glick, Editorial Adt ' iser; Zack Gallion, Sports Editor; Molly Watts, Feature Editor; and Janet Redden, Co-Editor. The Byrd High Life this year received a superior rating at the annual meeting of the Louisi- ana High School Press Association held last December in Natchitoches. The Columbia Scholastic Press Association, of which it is also a member, gave it a first place honor rating. Under the direction of Miss Claris Glick, Editorial Sponsor, the paper has been edited by journalism students who gathered the news and prepared the copy. The Business Staff, under the direction of Mrs. Mamie Rusheon, sold ads to various Shreveport firms to finance the paper. The High Life was published every two weeks and was distributed by members of the Cir- culation Statf. This five column, eight page paper is a member of the Quill and Scroll. Suggestions and criticisms are offered hy Pentt Wong, Catherine McCracken, Betty Nell, Joan Wise, Boh Saldich, Betty Jo Eduards, Bonnie Hadwin, Garland Houck, and Jeatt Sink. Ohsert ing the printing press are Barhara Rohinette, Mary Lou Bain, Beverly Conway, Janet Rhodes, Gail Haywood, Janice Rhodes, Gail Shuller, Marjorie Euhattk, Joyce Brngier, Jatte Copeland, Patsy Gottzales, and Bill Kttauer.
