Bill Vandemere lMike Hib- bardl happens along. Pa gets out his shot gun, and excitement follows. Finally Zeke tTerry Cowelll confesses his love for Snoddy and all ends happily. The Farmer's Daughter was a melodrama in which Sally, a country girl, played by Chris Rob- ison, is tricked out of her hard earned savings by the Villian lMike Martelll, who promises to make her a star. However, he is caught by the hero iRoland Martini and all ends well. So the Jury was Hung was a farce about a jury consisting of eleven women and one man iDennis Eilertl. Naturally, several of the women would like to trap the man, and he must break up a terrific fight between Mrs. Umbargo lLori Judsonl and Mrs. Schneezer lGerry Farkasl. The Commencement address was given by Assistant Dean of the College of Agri- culture and Natural Resources of M.S.U., Dr. David Armstrong. Musical selection, Climb Every Moun- tain , was presented by the senior high choir. N l Seniors spend a Week at Daytona Beach i This year Byron's seniors spent a week in the Plaza Hotel on the world famous Daytona Beach. While in Florida the students visited Marineland, Cypress Gar- dens and Disney World. Seniors used their spare time for swimming, shopping, tennis, ping- pong, pool and beach combing. Connie Miller received first string all confer- ence for the 1973-74 season. Suzy Bailey and Sandy Stiff received honorable mention. Leading scorer for the season was Connie Miller with a total of 194 points. Sandy Stiff finished the season with a total of 178 points. Lynette Hibbard finished the season with a total of 87 defensive rebounds and 66 offensive rebounds. Connie Miller was next with a total of 88 defensive rebounds by the end of the season. Sandy Stiff lead the team with 72 steals, and Suzy Bailey had a total of 48 assists. This year was Miss Coleman's second year of coaching the varsity team. There were five return- ing seniors from last year. The varsity girls were tied for third place at the end of the 1973-74 basket- ball season.
