The Royal Purple Rolls n The Royal Purple Rolls On. . . Last year Byron rightly claimed, We're Number One and this year our team valiantly upheld the title. The crowning glory came when we defeated Lake Fenton 44-0 and really proved that our team deserved its honor of being the number one defen- sive team in the county. Five of our champion Eagles gained recognition on the all conference fiist team. They were: Seniors: Bart Bart- unevige, Randy Matznick, and Roger Warnerg Juniois: Bill Srnithingell and Tom Fultz. Several players also made honorable mention.
