.Hzalorg o 1950 Twelve years ago the present senxor class with brnght expectant faces presented ltself to the fzrst grades of various schools to delve unto the mysternes of Readm , Rlten and Rxthmetzc Of the fifteen to twenty f1rst graders who started rn 38 only six Bud Boyum Davrd Twezte, Red Sheffer Paul Swanson Barbara Cuttmg and Jamce Wees have remamed to the end The rest of the present senxor class has Jomed these e1ther xn the grades or mn hxgh school After gomg through the usual trials and tr1bulat1ons of elementary students quarrels pranks, and punxshments appearmg m concerts scrubbed and shmmg 1n new whzte dresses and ribbons long pants and bow tres we fmally entered Junior I-hgh School wxth Mxss Powers as our prmcxpal and Mr Hagland as supermtendent We started our freshman year w1th an enrollment of thlrty four eager freshmen full of enthus1asm and extreme 1deas whzch our pr1nc1pal, Mzss Powers and our new supermtendent Mr Norsted, zmmednately curbed and trred to dzrect mto the nght channels As a result we were able to do big thlngs th1s year We made black marks on the floors broke the bmdlng of our new books but we also dzd one good thmg we presented Mrs Drummond, our advxsor wzth a cut glass salad set We entered our sophomore year mmus a few fam111ar faces They were Harold Curry Curtxs Carlson J'oyce Moon Alzce Vicker Kenneth Weaver and Bob Nearson We were happy though to see two new faces Bob Kelly and Harry Peterson There was stlll another face new to us xt was that of Mr Kulas our new superlntendent At the end of the f1rst semester w year we sent Red Cross boxes planned a very successful 1n1t1at1on had several partxes, went on a very successful str1ke and all m all we had a very eventful year When we came to school as junxors we were mmus the faces of Bob Kelly Andy Lybeck Charles McKay Carrol Morr1s Bonnie Twexte and ln February we lost Arlene Glassmaker Our most xmportant event thxs year was the plannmg of a prom and banquet zn honor of the semors Under the supe TVISIOH of Mrs Stenstad we ca rr1ed out our theme Tulzp Tnme Music was prov1ded by Marv Tenhoff Th1s same year under the dxrectxon of Mlss Betty Stewart we gave the production Baby S1tter wh1ch prov1ded us wxth enough money to gwe the prom ln September as semors we entered w1th a new dzgnlty befitting our classLf1cat1ons Our number was decreased agam by losmg Darlene Nelson Cleo Evjen and Duane Bale The loss wasn t too great for we gamed Betty Hovenden Mr Hovenden our new superintendent and Miss Powers our prmcxpal were our class adv1sors ln sp1te of all our mlsgwmgs and behavior an the past twelve years we are now begmnmg to realize the hardshlps and dxffxcultxe of survxval Byron Hugh w1ll suffer greatly the loss of 1ts basketball sta rs Davxd Twente Duane Swanson and Duane T1mm as well as several m chorus band paper, annual cheerleadmg lxbrary and football We w1ll always be grateful to our pa rents and teacmers for makxng It possxble for us to arrxve at tlus Junctxon of our educatmnal career 14 S . !
