‘If You See A Chance — Take It’ .. Homecoming 1981 was a busy week at Byron High School. Home- coming was celebrated with Pajama and Sweat Suit day. Cowboy day, College T-shirt day, Bib-and-Hat day, and the traditional Or- ange-and-Black day. On Thursday, the seniors were let out at noon to collect wood for the bonfire. At six o'clock, the snake dance made its way to the football field, where the tug-of-war was held. Proving to be the strongest were the senior boys and the sopho- more girls. Following that, it was announced that Dave Westbrook and Dawn Winterton were the '81 King and Queen. The spirit stick was won by the sophomores, at a pep assembly held Friday. Winning floats in the homecoming parade were the senior class and Spanish Club. The Tigers met the Forreston Cardi- nals that night but unfortunately both teams lost. The finale of the week was the dance held in the Middle School Gym. The music was provided by “Sweet Feelings. The Student Council are to be commended for a fun and exciting homecoming week.
