 A iary shows us His form .while putting in another ringer. holiday tournament play, after a mid-season slump the tigers finished strong with a win over state-ranked and unbeaten Oregon. most valuable player and captain as elected by his teammates was gary zoet. mike stine won the freethrow award with a 68.4% average for the year, zoet was also elected to the mid-northern conference team. mike shoots for two. %» 28

for a second year team, the tigers did an outstanding job. they were stronger con- tenders in conference play, the girls showed a lot of improvement and more aggressive- ness from the year before, they understood the game of basketball better and so they were able to learn the more difficult fun- damentals of the game, the girls worked hard to improve, all the girls had the skill to play basketball and they worked very well together as a team, the tigers had more determination to win this year and they worked hard to prove this determina- tion to each other. high scoring honors went to peggy zim- mermann with 96 points, free throw award and captain award went to deb tudor. betty boehm, with a total of 133 rebounds, led with the most offensive and defensive re- bounds. next year is looking even better for the tigers. 30
