■ ■ y C..-W $£?. v-iS f;- ?ift58?3S 3P!5u. • •.' ,' r VOLLE YB ALI mary hayden sacrifices to save a point. am from year to year the competition a very challenging year which began with a pre-season invitational round-robin tournament, our girls placed third out of teams, as the season progressed, so did the ability of the girls to work together, this led them to a third-place finish in the conference with a record of nine wins and five losses and a first-place district championship. honorable mention was given to mary hayden as high scorer with 178 points, betty boehm had the most spikes with 68 and deb tudor had the most assists with 83. the mid-northern conference added something new to volleyball this year, the all conference team, two of our girls, betty boehm and deb tudor made the team and jackie deming received special mention. the tigers readily improved throughout the season and finished as a tough team, next year looks very promising as another cham- pionship year, good job girls and good luck next year. jackie deming sends over a bump. 22
