The team posted a 2-9 record, which is quite good for a first-year team. Ron Ashelford was elected outstanding wrestler. With ex- perience gained this year, next year's team looks forward to a better season. 25

High percentage shooting along with exceptional rebounding earned the Cubs second in the Conference with a 12-2 record. The usual line-up was: Mike Landis and Doug Leary, guards; Ron Toops, center; Brad Lucas and Randy Garman, forwards. John Blackburn, Scott Hendrickson, and Ken Norup also played. The big change in the Cubs' performance showed up when they lost only two games out of the thirteen they played after the Christmas break. The high scorer for the season was Ron Toops. A 339 point total, 20 point average per game, showed his quick movement and timing. THE MAN WHO DINNER The senior class of 1972 presented their play, The Man Who Came to Dinner on November 19 and 20. Famous playwrite Sheridan Whiteside, the main character of the play, came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley where he tripped and supposedly frac- tured his ankle. Thus, not being able to move, he took over the household, and the action began, including a jealous quarrel between Lorraine Sheldon, a rather forward actress, and Maggie Cutler, Mr. Whiteside's private secretary. A Christmas radio broadcast from the living room also proved to be lively and quite amusing. The play was directed by Miss Kathy McLennan. CAME TO But Mr. Whiteside . . .
