BY-HI FRONT ROW, L. to R.: Mrs. Hobart, Advisor; J. Eickman, Co-Editor; M. Cox, Editor; K. Norris, Bus. Manager; A. Ripplinger, Ass't Bus. Manager. SECOND ROW: K. Falk, Typist; G. Wright, Photographer; D. Lutz, Copy-Editor; N. Skurski, Advertiser; J. Stein, Typist; D. Hamer, Advertiser; M. Farris, Sports. Copy deadline is next Friday. Only By-Hi staff members know how much work this line entails. Pictures must be taken and developed, copy must be written, identifications must be checked, and material must be typed. Many more activities are involved in getting ready to meet a deadline established by the publisher. Like building a rocket, the yearbook is well planned. These staff members work very diligently from the be- ginning of the year, when advertisement space and subscriptions are sold, right up to the grand finale when the yearbook is distributed to the studnets. Each staff tries to create a book which is unique, bigger, and better than the year before. 12

Girls' Athletic Association is a club open to all girls who are interested in sports, who want to have fun, and who want to keep in astronautical shape. This year's timetable was filled with such sports as football, baseball, bowling, swimming, tumbling, jumping on the trampoline, and speedball. During the year, the girls decorated the gym for Homecoming, sold stationery, participated in the cancer drive, and held a big slumber party for all members. A new project was the GAA Playday. Other schools were invited to come and spend the day playing games with our members. For a final event, the girls attended a gymnastic circus at I.S.U. in Normal on April 25. 14
