The new Inkspot took on the style of a real newspaper in- cluding photographs, editorials, and reports on school organizations. Advertisements from local merchants were collected to cover the cost of publishing the newspaper in Durand. Several of the staff members attended the High School Journalism Seminar in February, which was held at the Hotel Faust. During the course of the day, Terry Haye, editor of the Inkspot, was presented with the Most Valuable Staffer Award for BHS. After an enjoyable lunch, everyone present enjoyed a tour of the Rockford News Tower. The Inkspot staff worked very hard to provide interesting reading matter for all. 14
