G.A.A. began the year with a Fun Night, or a get-together for all members, and continued to be just as much fun throughout the entire year. The first five weeks were spent outdoors playing baseball or shooting arrows. Several of the girls participated in an archery tournament and their scores were sent to be compared with scores from surrounding schools. December was spent playing volleyball. For this the girls were divided into six teams and played three games each Monday night. As soon as the volleyball nets were put away, teams were set up for bowling at the Byron House. Bowling led to the playing of basketball and then came the final event of the year— the installation of officers for 1969-70. 10

Kathy Norris also brought honor to BHS by holding the office of Vice-President of Section 22. November proved to be a busy month with the formal initiation of the Freshmen girls and the Sadie Hawk- ins Dance. During February and March the senior girls corresponded with a secret sis, and in March a party was held to reveal the secret sisters. The week of March 24 was recognized as FHA week. During this time the girls had a candy sale, a day to honor the teachers, and a red and white day. April was highlighted with the Spring Rally held at Ashton, and in May new officers were elected and installed. With school's end came the annual FHA picnic at White Pines, which proved enjoyable to all who attended. 9
