The department consists of a high school band, a girls' chorus, boys' glee club, and a mixed choir. This year has been the first time that our school has had a boys' glee club, and it has been several years since we have had a mixed choir. The Music contest for solos and ensembles was held February 28 at Galena. There were three first-place winners who will advance to the state finals April 18 at Decatur.
