Overall they won 14 and lost 13. A total of six games were very close and could have gone either way. They lost three games by one point and three by two points. Five seniors carried the major load, they were Boyer, Cain, Dennis, Reeverts, and Walker. Byron lacked height as they didn't have a man over 6'1 . Pictured on this page Heidenreich and F. Reeverts gave the five seniors much support. The Tigers scored 1958 points to their opponents 1795.

The Cubs had one of the most successful seasons in a number of years. They compiled a fine record of twenty wins and only six setbacks. They won the Route 72 Tourney, and placed third in the Forreston Fresh- man-Sophomore Tourney. Bob Heidenreich played in the Route 72 Tourney but not in the Forreston Tourney due to state rul- ing which allows a player to play in only two tournaments plus the state playoffs. Bob played most of the year with the Varsity. Jackson, Harding and Cox, all sophomores, plus Morrison, a freshman, carried most of the load for the Cubs .
