CLASS PROPHECY We, Mary Rood and Marilyn Friday, being on our third trip around the world on our super sonic tricycles, decided to visit the '55 graduates of good old B. C. H. S. Here is what we found each one doing in this year of 1975. Byron was a small town in 19 55 but is now a heavily populated city. As we entered town we saw Dave Cox, the new sheriff, chasing after a teen-age speed demon. It reminded us of the days when we were in school (and he was being chased). His office is in the Town Hall, where the Byron Ink Spot is printed. Its famous editor is the now bald-headed Larry McKee. The reason for his baldness is that he worried so much over his studies that he ended up tearing his hair out. Miss Marjorie Brumley writes a column for the paper, called Advice to the Lovelorn. She had just received an air-mail letter from Bruce Billings, who is vaca- tioning in France. It seems that he has a tragic problem, he can't decide whether to return to his work as an artist for the New York Times or to concentrate on the current women (the ones in France). Next, we found the new drug store, which is on the corner of State and Main. We were thirsty, so we decided to go in fora coke. There we saw a bevy of girls gatnering around a dashing young manager! Who is none other than Marvin Dennis. We leftMarv to cope with the girls while we wandered out on the busy street once again. ZOOM! Down the street flies two super hotrods chasing each other, one was driven by Jack Spencer and the other by Jim Snyder. W e wondered if the sheriff is still chasing that teen-ager. It seems they are the same hotrod drivers they were in high school, only now they sometimes appear on a track. Then we came to the largest and most beautiful hotel inBryon, which is owned by a tall, dark, and handsome man who we are sure you will recognize as none other than Scott Walker. Many celebrities make his hotel their headquarters. Carolyn Jackson (who was the first from our class to be married) and her husband were registered at the hotel. They told us they were on their second honeymoon. She had just given up her position as the Superintendent of The Bell Telephone Company, as she said it was too much to work and to take care of all their children. Compliments of BEN FRANKLIN STORE C. V. Johnson Owner

Jerry Carlson and his new bride had just signed the register. They looked so happy, we stopped to congratulate them and to wish them the best of luck, Jerry is located in Texas in the oil business. From the hotel we took a taxi to visit the new ultra modern high school, located three miles from Main Street on the north edge of town. There we found Ruell Holeton as head of the Agricultural Department. Karen Eichman is the Girls' Physical Education teacher, and Roger Reeverts is the head Coach. We learned that Jim Swanson calls himself a farmer but all he raises is Cane. Albert Masters is a famous attorney, with Miss Patsy Dietrich for his secretary. We see that shorthand and typing has paid off for her. Allan Cain, now a famed lecturer, had spoken last night in the Byron High School stadium on the benefits of prohibition. His speech was entitled, How Dry I Am. Janet Balle is a great singing star in New York but is soon coming to Byron for a long needed rest. Robert Anderson, who is the second Perry Como, is always going around with a long line of screaming fans behind him. Next, we visited the new hospital, where we found Barbara Sarber, Nancy Butt, and Leabelle Ackison as the supervisors. It is a beautiful hospital and as we walked down the hallways we recognized some of the patients as our friends of high school days. On the western out-skirts of town we came to the Animal Hospital. There we found Rusty Nelson, Bill Deill and Ronnie Stukenburg as the vetinarians. Each is still trying to out do the other, even though they are partners in the business. Bob Boyer is campaigning for re-election to the new state assembly. He hopes to reach Washington D. C. some day in the future. Dave Johnson is the auctioneer at the new sales barn. On our way out of town we went by the airport where we saw airline hostess, Nancy Prescott boarding a plane. All in all, we decided that all of us has made quite a mark in the world, and you can see for yourself what a wonderful group we turned out to be--this class of 1955.
