For A Fun Time Call . . 'Being alone, in the eyes of a teenager, is probably one of the worst things that could happen to anyone! 'Loneliness' . . . it's just plain boring! In other words, it's an unpleasura- ble monotony. So therefore, you will very sel- dom catch any sane' teenager letting this type of monotonous unpleasure happen! How do they do this', you ask? Its simple, all you have to do is pick up the telephone, get together, and have a crazy time! Hmmm! Have you ever wondered just exact- ly how rich the youth of America are making the people at Southwestern Bell? We must keep them busy! At our school alone, there are 810 students in the 7 through 12 grades. Each of which talks on the phone about an average of two hours a day a piece, some of them even more. So this means, that at any given time, there are at least 42 people on the phone lines at one time. That's just from our school, think about how many teenages are on the phone at the same time rn Oklahoma! All seriousness aside, though, there is some- thing good coming out of all this! 'Friendships' . . . special relationships that a young person will remember for a lifetime! High school days are the best times of a person's life. Times of cruisinl parties, slee- povers, or just plain hangin' out! But you don 't do these things by yourself you do them with 'hiendsll You can laugh with H-iends, you can cry with them. You can listen to their problems and they can listen to yours.
