CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1953 a group of 53 freshmen entered the halls of B H S They had only one question 1n mind W1ll we ever become seniors? And now that we have finally become semors we know that we will always remember our good old days at B H S We started our freshmen year by electing class officers They were President Charlotte Greegor Vice President Jim Aleshrre Secretary Deanna Jean Lisle Assistant Secretary Betty Lou H111 Treasurer Alberta Olver Elected to the Student Council were Charlotte Greegor Judy Conroy and Dean Pyles Chosen for the Class Committee were Bob Hutton Effie Elropulos and Melvin Eubanks Our class advrsors were Miss Sarchet and Mr Merrxlees Our class colors were scarlet and gray Alberta Olver was our first football cheerleader Judy Conroy was basketball cheerleader Judy Conroy also had the honor of berng chosen for homecoming queen attendant We received first prize for our Halloween float The year ended with a class picnic held at Seneca Lake on June 3 1954 As sophomores we were not quite so shy of B H S Our advisors this year were Mrs Vorhres Mr Heed and Miss Thompson Elected as class officers were President Ruth Ann Tulga Vice President Judy Conroy Secretary Maxine Griffith Assistant Secretary Bob Hutton Treasurer Effie Elropulos Student Council and Marjorie Tucker Our cheerleaders were football Alberta Olver basketball Luella Wood Our sophomore queen attendant was Ila Mae Thompson This year also ended with a class p1cn1c at Seneca Lake on May 31 1955 This year was a pretty important one as Juniors we had many exciting days ahead of us Our advisors were Mrs Shrlliday Mr Pavllk and Mr Bates Class officers were Presldent Effie Elropulos Vice President Bob Hutton Secretary Sandra Ruby Assistant Secretary Luella Wood Treasurer Jim Aleshrre Maxine Griffith Gary Lewis and Effie Elropulos were on the Student Council Our football cheerleader was Doris Plymrre basketball cheerleader was Luella Wood Luella Wood was also chosen for Junior queen attendant We won first prlze for our float 1n the Halloween Parade We sold magazines donations for prizes to be given away at a basketball game and had several dances ln order to make money for the big event that was coming up in April The Junior and Senior Prom We had our Junior play No Boys Allowed on Apr1l20 1956 rn which many from the class participated The director was Mr Bates with some assistance from Mrs Mast Then the big event finally came the Prom which was held on April 28 at the smart Beverly Hills Restaurant Another happy moment of our junior year was when the ring salesman came and we ordered our class rings The last event of the year was our annual class p1cn1c at Seneca Lake on June 3 1956 Members, Doris Plymire, Bill Quinn, Jim Aleshire, and Gary Lewis: Class Committee, Rita Hayes: Jerry Teter,
