Beta 61116 In the fall of l939, under the sponsorship of Mr. L. W. Tansil, sixteen honor students were organized into a group whose purpose was to petition Beta Club. A student becomes eligible for Beta Club in his iunior year. To be a mem- ber, a student must have a scholastic average of 90 or better on his freshman and sophomore work and must have at least a B average in deportment. A student may become a member of the Beta Club any time in his junior or senior year that his average for the combined period after his entrance in high school reaches 90. President Bobby Butler 3.
