BLOMGREN LYDEN SULLIVAN ENGLISH POWERS WEAVER This year we wish to acknowledge the efforts ot the six teachers who retired during the 1959-1960 school year. These teachers have devoted a major part ot their careers to Butte youth. Miss Blomgren who taught mathematics retired in the sum' mer of 1959. She taught algebra, solid geometry, and trigonome- try. Miss Mabel Lyden, also, taught mathematics, her main field was algebra. Miss Emily Powers majored in language and taught French, German, and English. Miss Powers and Miss Lyden, too, retired during the summer of 1959. Mr. Iohn Pop Weaver taught art tor many years and retired in November of 1959 Miss Anna English who taught English and ancient history retired in February of 1960 Miss Sheila Sullivan was an English teacher at Butte High School for two years and ther retired to be married in December ot 1959 Miss Birdie Gennara came to take over Miss English s classe February 29 1960 sv! .als
