l WE . . . THE FOYER. WITH ONE SINGLE IMPULSE, WE TURN INTO THE OFFICE OF OUR RELOVED SUFERVISINO PRINCIPAL. MR. R. E. KEHLER has contributed a great deal toward the achievement of American ideals in Butler Township High School. He is looked upon with admiration by all students for his effic- iency, enthusiasm, and effective principles. As our super- vising principal, Mr. Kehler is always thought of as a true friend, good sport and trusted director. His kindness, pat- ience, and pleasant ways have impressed us through the years. Through his guidance, we have secured the deter- mination to go forward and win. 4 1 for us, yet not without embarrassment, we blunder into a special afternoon meeting of . . .

cviwedghall UN IIAIVIPUS And in memory relive our final year at Butler Township High, we have tried to capture the glorious moments which we have spent together as a group, and by means of words and pictures, bind them here in this 1951 issue of the Americana. We recall the ride on the school bus, lunch periods in the cafeteria, basketball games, dances, movies. operettas, the work on the newspaper and yearbook, and classroom activities. In retrospect these pleasant times have, for each of us, a diierent meaning which will grow and deepen as we say good-bye to our carefree days and take our place in the world where greater responsibilities lie ahead. As time passes, we hope that this book will become a cherished possession--an album of happy, unforgettable memories.

These prominent citizens have efiiciently and enthusiastically continued to serve in the interest of the students and faculty. This magnificent building and splendid equipment have made it possible for us to have the best physical advantages that could be provided. They are the people who are approached with complaints and demands and have the grave responsibility of giving the go-ahead signal for every project. The class of ,51 appreciates the hard work, time, and outstanding efforts the members devoted to the Welfare of the student body, and also the opportunities and privileges which they have made possible for us. We sincerely hope that the Board of Edu- cation continues the good work which We have seen them accomplish in our six years attendance at Butler Township High School.
