While vivid colored autumn, gray-white winter, and pastel-tinted spring paraded in successive reign past the Butler Township High School, our story of the year was being enacted within that picturesque terra cotta brick setting, which is complemented by the green of the surrounding campus. In this ultra-modern high school, each student is offered a four-square education. The curricu- lum, which measures up to all current standards, includes academic, commercial, industrial arts, and home economic subjects. The extra-curricu- lar program with its variety of clubs and activi- ties provides an outlet for many interests and vitalizes the social side of school life. Adminis- trators and teachers agree that education for human relationship and education for citizenship are as important as the three R's. No longer is the student a passive observer, absorbing the ideas given in textbooks.
