The purpose of the program was to give an idea of what the National Honor Society is and what it stands for. A special program for Lin- coln's birthday was given by Mr. F. Elmer Marshall on Why Lincoln Laughed. The speech class from Waterloo High School preformed before the student body in a one-act play entitled “Our Miss Brooks. Ministers from the surrounding Butler area added in- spiration to our life at B.H.S. Tom Berry, an evan- gelist, gave a very inspirational and interesting talk to the student body.
