Class History Senior Class Officers Our Freshman Year President Donald Ginder Vice President . . . Lenore Ringenberg Secretary-Treasurer . . . Larry Baron Sponsors . . Mrs.Hampel, Mr. Oberlin Our journey through Butler High School started with sixty-six ambitious pupils and two sponsors. After we be- came organized and adjusted to high school life, we found it wasn ' t really so bad. Thanks to our two wonderful spon- sors, we started earning money for our senior trip. Our only money-raising campaign was the Halloween Festival. Our social functions were two class parties and our clubs. After a year of hard work, we were ready for the se- cond step on our journey: Our Sophomore Year President Vaughn Billings Vice President JackNelson Secretary-Treasurer . . . Jinny Boyer Student Council .... Wilma Shultz and Tom Underbill Sponsors . . Mrs.Hannpel, Mr. Oberlin This year we becanne a little more confident. We started out with our class party as our first social activity. We joined several clubs. As Sophonnores we were allowed more money-nnaking activities, including the Festival and Ice Cream Social in the spring. We ended our second year with sixty-four menn- bers. During this year, we were also the proud owners of our class sweaters. Larry Baron and Jinny Boyer Sponsors . Mrs.Hannpel, Miss Thomas Mr. Bowlby This fall we gained two new spon- sors: Miss Thomas and Mr. Bowlby. We started the school year with our class party. Later we ordered our class rings. While waiting for our rings, we kept ourselves busy selling maga- zines. We also received the noon and basketball concessions, which brought in a considerable sum toward our sen- ior trip. In the spring everyone worked very hard to give a good production of The Robe. And thus we ended our third year. Our Senior Year President Audrey Miller Vice President Tom Underbill Secretary Dorothy Houser Treasurer Lenore Ringenberg Student Council . . Avis Armstrong and Donald Ginder Sponsors Mrs. Hampel, Miss DeWeese Mr. Dunten At last we started our sorrowful but joyful senior year. Again we gained two new sponsors who helped us finish our last and nnost important year of high school. We began the year by planning paper drives and the class play, Roonn For One More. L ' Dea Handy was our editor for the annual, and with Miss De- Weese ' s help, we did an excellent job. We earned the necessary funds and planned our trip to New York and Wash- ington D. C . Looking back with fondest memo- ries, we are glad to have reached our goal: graduation from good old Butler High School. MUELLERS INC., Butler 21
