Each day I added to my list, as day by day I built my house of dreams which was to hold all the interesting events of my high school career. I have placed this house ot dreams upon a hill overlooking all surroiniding life. At the foot ol' the hill there was a lake which caught the reflection of the castle, which I have called lite, tor all our lives were influenced hy these few but important years. This castle was built of marble. which represents the lasting knowledge obtained. The first room was ot' pale green marble, this represented our first or Freshman year. It was made ot green t'o1' your lirst year you are un- acquainted with the building and of course make many mistakes. Un the walls of this room we placed pictures of the various activities in which we engaged during the year. One of these was thc picture of the girls of the class being initiated into the Ifllue Triangle and another of the boys being initiated into the Ili-Y. Un the opposite wall was placed a picture ot our first party. It was held at the home ot Harley Mutzteld and you readily see the expression of happiness on the face of everyone. f'lose by was a pie- ture of the high school band showing a number of our class as members. Then a picture of the contests in which we engaged. Seven of our number par- ticipated in the Latin Contest as that picture indicates. The largest picture of all was placed opposite the door and was of the entire class and its spon- sors. The class officers were Joe Oberlin, presidentg tlarolus Kepler, vice- presidentg Margery Long, treasurerg and NVanda Stetjfe. secretary. The sponsors were Mr. Miller, Mr, lllurray, and Mr. Clark. From this tirst room a narrow corridor extended down to the second room. This corridor represented our sunnner vacation. The second room was of pale blue marble and on the walls were the pictures ot the activities in which we engaged this second year. The first was a picture of a contest in which Ilarley Mutzteld. Keith Illm, Loran King, and -ilohnne Ileinhart took part. lt was in Algebra. The picture close by was of Harley and Keith in the district Algebra Clontest and the one just beyond was ot' Keith in the State Algebra Uontest at Bloomington. Opposite the door was the large picture of the class. 'lt showed our number as fifty-seven. The class officers were Betty l'latt, presidentg Peggy lligley. treasurerg Wanda Stetfc, secretary. The setting- of the party was a Dutch village. and the auditorium was seareely to he reengnized. The dining' renin was separated from the reeeptinn rnmn by a white pieket tenee, envered with dngwnml and lmrdered lay inany-enlnred tulips. A large Dutch windmill turned lazily in the liaelzgrnuinl, The talrles were grayly deenrated with tulips, sniall windmills, and wooden shnes as tavnrs. Fnllnwingr the delieinus dinner, gay table-talk was supplied lay Miss lfiryant, .Ine Hlierlin, and liryant Gunsenlinuser. At a pre-arrang'ed nminent there eanie a slmwer nt' balloons from almveg eenfetti and serpentines emnpleted the tun. - Fnllnwiiigf the dinner, a theatre party was nrganized.
