Asst. Bus. Mgr. Artis Graham Co-Editor Patsy Blakney Artis, we take our hats off and salute you for the excep- tional work you’ve done for the staff! This young man, who is a bus driver and a member of the Honor Society, has done for the Annual Staff what no other member has. In the two short years that he worked for the “Tiger” he has gotten out and hustled in our ad campaign. Last year alone he solicited over SI,000 in ads. This year he collected over half the ads that we received. In our subscriptions for yearbooks, Artis brought in more than anyone on the staff. Artis was also the staff photographer. Its true he had a preference in his picture taking, but he did an outstanding job. We Salute you for your efforts! Congratulations!! 1974-1975 Annual Staff Copy Editor - Gloria Mitchell 7

Annual Staff Editor — Lydia L. Davis Hello Schoolmates, As this term comes to an end we should all look back over the year and ask ourselves, “How many people have I reached out and touched?” The most important thing that we can do in our lifetime is to help someone. Helping is what school is all about. The administration helps the teachers and students: teachers help students; in turn, students help the community as well as each other. Helping each other can be done in simple ways, such as on a one to one basis. Seniors touch the life of a Junior and make an impression that will last. Juniors socialize with a Sophomore, make both of your lives a blast. Sophomores to help a Freshman get started is the best thing you could do. Freshmen help the Subs in decision making and problem solving along the road through Jr. High School. Subs help the 7th grader; he’s a greenhorn in the high school world. 7th Graders help everyone by showing them you can do it with a swirl. Everybody - “touch” someone, make a difference in their life. With everybody “touching” Butler will be alright. We, the Class of 75, hope that we have touched the lives of students and teachers alike, and that the memories we leave will live on long after we're gone. Remember, all through your life Reach out and touch a hand, make a friend if you can. Dear Tigers, To be a part of the Tiger Annual Staff the past four years has given me much pleasure. I am deeply honored to have the privilege of being editor, and addressing this year’s edition of the Tiger. It has been a wonderful experience, I shall always cherish. This years Tiger Staff has worked extremely hard to “reach out and touch” the administration, faculty, and students with a pictorial look at the 1974-75 school year. We want to touch you with memories of all the good things that have happened here at Butler, also all the achievements we have made. We sincerely hope we have succeeded in our effort to do so. for the book is “you”. “Reach out and touch” is a very appropiate theme, during these troublesome times. You can touch a person in many ways, not only physically, but through the tenderness and understanding of hearts and minds. To be able to reach out and touch someone is a gift that we all can give. Butler has changed greatly this year under a new adminis- tration, under a new system the quod, and a new building program, the band room, yet it is the same humble and upward looking institution always has been. We should all be proud we are a part of this institution, for many respected and well achieved persons have studied among these hallowed walls. Finally, I wish to leave you with the chorus of a song. Reach Out And Touch . . . Reach out and Touch Somebody’s Hand Make this a better world If you can! Lovingly, Lydia L. Davis Editor-in-Chief Love, Darrilyn Denise Stormes Business Manager 6 Bus.
