What's New Did you notice the new fashions rhot hit Butler High School? If you didn't, then here's your chonce to cotch up with the signs of the times. Clips in the hoir were o common sight this year, along with the short, punk hairstyles . . . ond yes . . . it's not your imagination . . . dyed toils were in. Long, dongle earrings also caught the eye this season. The earrings, however, were nor the only items of fashion that S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D. Sweaters grew about sixteen inches ond were worn os dresses or with stirrup ponts. Crop ponrs, mini skirts, flowered outfits, ond denim were oil o big smash this year or Butler High. Walking in style, many girls wore variations of jozz shoes, loafers, ond pumps,- oil in o variety of colors. Meanwhile, the guys kicked the conservative look, ond were seen wearing the latest in shoe fashions . . . combat boots ond untied high-top sneakers, especially stunning when worn with the classic three-piece suit on gome days. Fashion was nor the only sign of the rimes. Music mode o big splosh in our school. Our school's population displayed o wide variety of rosres in music. There were hard rock fans who doodled the outrageous nomes ond logos of their favorite groups, os well os top 40 fans whose preferences voried from slow songs to heavy metal. Everywhere something new ond unique appeared. Moybe oil of this individuality symbolized whor creative students we ore or Butler High School.
