FACULTY FUN This year, as in many years previous, the Butler High School faculty played Butler's varsity team in a game of basketball. This annual event is for the bene- fit of the Faculty Scholarship Fund. The game was a complete sellout and even standing room was impossible to be found. Therefore, some of the cheering section watched the game from the gym windows. As usual, the well uniformed faculty team was urged on by their energetic cheer- leaders and the impartial judges. The action was hot throughout the game and the excitement was intensified because the scores were so close together. After a rough fight, the faculty was domi- nant and the final score was 56 to 54. 5 The huge cheering section sees Art Barry get a two pointer during the third quarter. Since this game was a close one Mr. Smith, in his cool hat and hot red stockings, looks dismayed. Mr. DiAngelis dribbles deftly down the court. Mr. Price attempts to make a set shot. Mr. Rickman hooks a shot and makes a per- fect swish as Mr. Di- Angelis, with members of the varsity team, look on. Even practice teachers get in on the fun. Below fast and deceptive Mr. Bergen evades his opposition. Doc lngold, coach for the varsity, sits on the bench and watches his team give the faculty a rough battle. His happy expression indicates another basket or good play by his boys.
