THE NEIL B. EASTERBROOK, Superintendent of Schools, hos added many hours of work to his alreody long outstanding record. In his capable hands Butler High School has gone through a self-evaluation program preparing for next year's rating by a high school accreditation agency. JOHN M. BECKER, entering his second year as assistant principal, was promoted from one small office to two small offices from which he tried to bring order out of chaos. With understanding, tact, and firmness, Mr. Becker handled all school problems with wisdom and fairness. A D M I N I S T R A T I O N JOHN P. GOWER, new principal of Butler High School, has learned that the problem ’ 'V of watching after the needs and require-gyg. ments of 1500 students makes for a ver, ’ busy day. All concerned have found hin to be not only an efficient administrate but an understanding person as well. Life presents us with many puzzles and mazes. We may rush blindly into obstruction after obstruction or we may intelligently plan our route to circumvent disaster. Let us plan together a successful course, utilizing all the experiences, facilities and aids which our school offers. With the realization that progress is not made until obstacles have been cleared, let us work the puzzles and travel the mazes, confident that with intelligence and planning, we will emerge enlightened and filled with pleasant memories of our journey.
