The debating club was snapped during one of their Wednes- day afternoon meetings with Miss Banta, Miss Chadwick, and Mrs. Hopper. Active in both inter-class and inter-school meets, the debating teams regard with highest respect the Sophomores, the inter-class champions. Around the table sit Mike Fitzpatrick, Pricilla Richardson, Marie Beier, Carole Heimbracht, Rose Urfer, Carol Clapp, Gordon Haaland, Bob Paul, Pat Berhman, Barbara Kastner, Carolyn Coursen, Norris Smith, Sylvia Eckhart, Roberta Friesinger, John Parisi, and Gordon Guenter. Carol Flapper Clapp demonstrates the fine points of the Charles- ton to drive home cz point for the Juniors. Phyllis Boob de- lights the grammar school children with a favorite story in front of the fireplace. FTA is a full-time organiza- tion designed to aid students who are about to enter the teaching field.
