-- , . . N High School Stage Band Stage Band This year the High School Stage Band traveled to Union Star, Missouri where they re- ceived a first place trophy. They were also very fortunate to have Rick Brumback, Bobi Rush, and Leslie Noe in the all-star band. At the Spring Festival, the High School Stage Band per- formed with Mr. John Leisen- ring, professional trombonist. The Junior High Stage Band also traveled to Union Star to compete in their jazz festival. The Butler High School Chorus truly showed their talent when they brought home a one rating from competition in the mixed chorus di- vision at district contest held at Central Missouri State University. This rating was well deserved as all four judges rated them as a one group. Many ensembles and solos received one ratings at the State Music Contest held at the Missouri University at Columbia. Not only did the chorus do well at contest but also they performed well at their Christmas and Spring concerts. The Junior High Chorus also performed at Christmas.and in the Spring. Throughout the year, both choruses provided many special music services to different groups and their activities. The High School Chorus also participated in the annual choral clinic.
