Z 5 Make it, Windisch! The junior high teams pulled out a successful season for themselves. The Freshmen team played 500 ball, winning 8 out of 17 games under the coaching of Dolan Hawkins. The Freshmen should help in bringing up great strength to the Junior Varsity team next year with the contribution of their shooting and rebounding ability. The seventh and eighth grade teams were both led by Coach Tom Gleason. The teams' vigor and enthusiasm were an inspiration to all who watched them play. The seventh grade team participated in the Nevada Invitational Tournament where they were defeated by both Nevada and Eldorado Springs. The eighth grade team participated also in the Nevada Tournament where they were defeated by Nevada and Lamar. The eighth graders made it into the final round of the Pleasant Hill Eighth Grade Tournament, after having beaten East Lynne and were de- feated by Raymore-Peculiar. However, at the Deepwater Tournament, they Was that a foul? V 60 won the Championship by beating Leeton, Osceola, and Deepwater.

Bobi Rush 1972 Courtwarming ueen After much anticipation and preparation, Bobi Rush, senior candidate, was crowned as the 1972 Courtwarming Queen by Randy Mills. Kathi Alkire, last year's Courtwarm- ing Queen, helped in the ceremonies. Bobi was escorted by Brad Wayland. Other candidates included Julie Davidson junior, and Joan Williams, sophomore. Julie was escorted by Doug Diehl, and Joan was escorted by Rick Brumback. The candidates were chosen by the basket- ball boys, and the queen was determined by a vote of the student body. Bobi was presented a necklace, charm, basketball, and a bouquet of roses. Then she was escorted to her throne which was located in the upper deck of the bleachers. She reigned over the Varsity basketball game and during the dance that followed. After much hard work in the Courtwarm- ing game, the Butler Bears were defeated by the Miami Eagles by the score of 34-29.
