Basketball Men: 19-10 Butler started the season with high hopes. The team had the height it takes to be a top contender. The Grizzlies had four returning starters: Henry Ford, Butch Berry, John Ford and Earl Walker. Berry and Walker were team captains this season. Butler participated in one of the toughest basketball con- ferences in the nation, the Jayhawk Juco. The Grizzlies won their first game against Norther n Oklahoma. Many times during the season they played some outstanding ball. At press time they went against Pratt for a second time, coming out the winner, after being defeated in the first encounter. The Grizzlies were 19-10 overall and 5-6 league at press time.
