SAC On The Go By planning movies, football homecoming activi- ties, skating parties, a ski trip, and dances, the Stu- dent Activity Council was kept busy. Brenda John- son served as first semester president, and Jeff Cox served second semester. Members of SAC include: Jeff Cox, Brenda Johnson, Gary Leach, Phillip Banks, Karen Sommerhauser, Leanne Hillwig, Ker- ry Dees, Brad Habermehl, John Ingalls, Steve Fos- ter, and Debra Sawtelle, advisor. Bands Play Around The Pep and Concert Band performed at football and basketball games and for three on-campus concerts throughout the year. The same members make up both bands. The Pep Band performed at away games at Coffeyville, Cowley County, and at the Rodeo Bowl game Held in Arkansas City. The pep band performed for the Honeybears ' routine at both football and basketball games. The band members and director received a plaque from the football team and coaches thanking them for the support that was given to the team by the band. The concert band presented a Christmas concert and two spring concerts. Doug Talbott directed the bands. DOUG TALBOTT, director of the jazz bands, leads the Pep Band at a pep, concert, and football game. THE PEP BAND (above) makes one of its many appearances at a football game.
