The 1973 GRIZZLY began simply as an idea on paper but now contains memories for each person associated with Butler County Community Junior College. It is our sin- cere wish that each student, faculty member, and staff member can distinctly identify himself with this edition of the grizzly. During my year as editor, new ideas have been sought for and tried in the hope that our book will be different from any other. Deadlines have been met with a few frustrations, but many re- warding hours have been spent with other staff members preparing your book of memories. Although I can ' t begin to mention everyone who has helped in the preparation of this book, my sincere thanks and appreciation go to Mr. Frank Wright, yearbook representative, for help- ing with the cover selection and other numerous details; Miss Blenda Kuhlmann, our adviser, for her patience and never failing assistance; the GRIZZLY staff — Mark Gale, photographer; Rita Fehrenbach, Jay Whiting, Tresia Morris, Cathy Marley, and Randi Zlab, who served as our typist. My thanks also go to Rick Carpenter, Mr. Darryl Patten, and members of the photography classes for supplying us with pictures and to Fulmer- Pippig Studio for their cooperation in developing and printing our pictures. A special thanks goes to Mr. Bill Bidwell for his advice and assistance when we needed him and to the campus organi- zations and their sponsors for their cooperation in scheduling pictures. But most important are you — the individuals who have suffered with us and endured having your pictures taken and at times retaken so that we could prepare this book for you. Paula Reed, Editor 1973 GRIZZLY Randi Zlab types copy for the yearbook.
